Code of Conduct

Holroyd Rangers expects all players, coaches managers, parents, officials and spectators to adhere to our Codes of Behaviour. 

We believe that good sportsmanship, encouragement, support and fair play make it safer and more enjoyable for all of us to be involved in soccer.

Parent's Code of Behaviour
Parents are expected to abide by the Spectator Code of Behaviour
and
  • will help setup and packup playing fields and equipment and assist at canteen as required
  • will volunteer their services and help when asked by a coach or official
  •  will also thank the coaches, officials and other volunteers who give their time to conduct the event for their child

Football Federation National Member Protection Policy
This policy outlines legal and ethical rights and responsibilities of players, coaches, committees and associations.  It aims to ensure that core values, good reputation and positive behaviours and attitudes are maintained. It assists us in ensuring that every person involved in our sport is treated with respect and dignity, and is safe and protected from abuse. This Policy also provides the procedures that support our commitment to eliminating discrimination, harassment, child abuse and other forms of inappropriate behaviour from Football.

Reporting issues/incidents that breach code of conduct
If you feel anyone has stepped out of line in terms of behaviour we as a club want to know.  Please contact a club official on match day or via email to holroydrangers@hotmail.com to address your concerns.

Nominate a player for Code of Conduct Award
Each year the club awards a player with the Code of Conduct Award.  If you see a player demonstrating the sort of qualities that embody the spirit of fair play, teamwork, respect and overall great sporting behaviour use the following form to nominate them.  Give the completed form to a committee member.

This is an award instituted in 2011, kindly donated by the Gray family.
This award can only be nominated by Coaches or Managers.

Sports Rage resources - sports rage is bad for sport,  We all need to work together to prevent sports rage. This site provides information, brochures, handouts and booklets to assist with the prevention of sports rage.

Play by the rules - An online training program providing information on preventing and dealing with inappropriate sporting behaviour, including discrimination, harassment, favouritism, bias and various forms of abuse.

Respect Campaign: a guide for parents and carers.
On average, thousands of referees quit football every year at because of the abuse they receive from players and from the sidelines. Lots of children also pack it in because of the attitude and actions of over-enthusiastic and pushy parents.

In response, The FA’s Respect programme provides a series of tools for leagues, clubs, coaches, Referees, players and parents from grassroots to elite football to ensure a safe, positive environment in which to enjoy the game.
