Match results Sat 7th / Sun 8th May

Sat 7th May - Mixed Comp Round 5:

U6 - Won 6-5 v Toongabbie Black

Holroyd Under 6s remain undefeated with a 6-5 win against Toongabbie (Isaac 6). What a nail biting game with both sides doing so well to put on a great game that was tight and challenging, yet fun! Games like this are great learning curves for the children as they learn more about the sport they love and ways to control and guide the ball. Great team effort and play from both sides- the kids are learning more and more each week.

U7 - Loss 6-0 v Wenty Waratah White
U8 - Loss 7-0 v Parramatta City
U9 - Won 2-1 v Regents Park Black
AAM div 6 Black - Draw 0-0 v Guildford County
AAM div 6 White - Won 6-5 v Newington
AAM div 7 - Won 4-0 v Ermington
AAM div 8 Black - Draw 1-1 v Winston Hills

AAM div 8 White - Won 5-2 v Lidcombe Waratah
O35 div 5 - Draw 1-1 v Rouse Hill
O45 div 1 - Draw 3-3 v Greystanes Black

Greystanes Black and Holroyd 3-3 in a tough game at Bathurst St, it was great to have a ref and 2 AR's a rare occurrence. Holroyd opening the scoring early with a well taken freekick from around 25m after that Greystanes dominated the rest of the first half and scored a nice goal down their ring wing with a good cut back, a penalty 10min later and the Greys led 2-1 at halftime. The break worked for the Green machine and we scored two quick goals in the first 5 minutes completely dominating the first 20 minutes also hitting the post which would later prove vital. The Greys came back like the good team that they are and scrambled the equaliser from close range after a good cross 10mins from time. Good to play a team that plays hard and fair a bit different from last weeks shenanigans.
Sun 8th May - Ladies comp Round 3:
AAL div 3 - Loss 3-0 v Wenty Waratah White

Sun 8th May - Ladies Presidents Cup knockout comp round 1:
AAL div 2 - Loss 5-0 v Pendle Hill (AAL/1)

Mothers Day 'Pink Day' Sun 8th May

We have been scheduled to host Girls & Ladies games at our home ground on Mothers Day Sunday 8th May.

We are running a ‘Pink Day’ to raise money for cancer research and the McGrath Foundation. On sale will be many items including socks, caps, scarves, & singlets. Also our famous ‘cake stall’ will be in operation selling goodies perfect for morning tea or a snack.

This will be a huge day with 10 games scheduled on our 2 main fields. It promises to be a great fun day full of lots of great football action. Our BBQ and canteen will be very busy and any extra help we can get is really useful. If you have an hour or so that you can spare why not drop in and give us a hand at some stage during the day.
