Holroyd U9s at Wanderland

Sun 2nd March saw our U9s team head off to Wanderland at Parramatta for the 530pm A-League game between West Sydney Wanderers and Newcastle Jets. The U9s provided part of the half-time entertainment, showing off their silky soccer skills for the crowd. Well done to coach Mark, manager Linda, and all the Holroyd U9s players! Thanks to GDSFA director Poppy for this opportunity for our team.

2014 team nominations

Deadline for team nominations is today.
We have submitted to GDSFA nominations for 15 teams.
U6 (2 teams), U7, U9, U12, U18, U21 (2 teams), O35 (2 teams), AAM (2 teams), U19G, and AAL (2 teams).

Any players interested in joining any of these teams or age groups should contact us first to see if there are any places remaining in the teams.

Team nominations

Clubs are required to submit team nominations to the Association by 28th Feb.  To nominate a team there must be a minimum of 10 players registered.  This means registered online via My Football Club and fully paid rego fees by Wed 26th Feb.  Any teams with less than 10 players fully registered and paid up will not be accepted by the Association.  We urge all players and all teams to get organised and complete their player registrations ASAP.  Anyone needing help with registrations may contact us for help by email at holroydrangers@hotmail.com or call 0422006939.

2014 registrations

Reminder that registrations for the 2014 soccer season with Holroyd Rangers soccer teams can still be taken online all through February via the My Football Club website. Many teams and age groups are filling up fast but there are also plenty of spaces in some other teams. We have teams in U6s, U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s/U11s, U12s, U16s (need more players aged 14-16), U18s, U19 Girls, U21 Men, All Age Men, All Age Ladies, and Over 35 Men. 2014 soccer coaches

Looking for a rewarding experience coaching soccer in 2014?
There are many opportunities in 2014 for people interested in coaching at Holroyd Rangers. With many new teams being formed at our club in 2014 we are seeking suitably motivated persons for coaching some of these teams. We have a wide range of age groups that need coaches from Under 6 to Under 21 as well as All Age teams. Interested persons should contact us at holroydrangers@hotmail.com or call John on 0422006939. All coaches will need to register with us on-line via My Football Club.

Registrations for 2014 soccer season will be taken on-line at My Football Club from 2nd January 2014. Refer to our Registrations page for details on how to register including our fee structure.

ASC Coaching Course

The Australian Sports Commission held a Coaching Course at our grounds on Sat 16^th Nov. The course was successfully completed by 7 people, 5 of whom are from Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club. Congratulations to Maddie Bollard, Maddison Gray, Rodney Gray, Cameron Nash, and John Nash, who all successfully completed the coaching course. The course was aimed at coaching football for primary school aged children, and involved some theory as well as practical sessions. At the end of the course each participant was required to prepare and implement a 10 minute coaching session of their own choosing demonstrating the aspects of coaching football that they had learned about. Well done to all participants.

Community Coaching Course

The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) will be running a free 1-day Community Coaching Course at our grounds on Sat 16th Nov. Anyone wishing to take part will need to register beforehand. Small Sided Football Gala Day Sun 18th August - U6B team

Gala Day at Rouse Hill Sunday 18th August

The boys were so excited for our first SSF Gala Day at Rouse Hill. Unfortunately 2 of our players called in sick on the day so we were left with only 4 players and no reserves! With 5 games back to back we knew we were in for a big day. Our first game we were up against some great little players but we came back second half and won 6-4. The games were pretty tight with 15min halves and only 1min half time break.

As the day went on the boys played hard - our 4th game we won 9-1. Even though they couldn't rest, they were up against teams that had 3-4 reserves so you could imagine by the end of the day the boys were so tired that by the last game they could barely run anymore. Still it was an exciting day. They got to meet some of the Western Sydney Wanderers and get their hair spray painted. Our boys played so well, they had fun and did our team proud! Definitely would go again but next time make sure we have a few reserves.
