Players urgently needed for U19 Girls team

3-4 girls aged 16, 17, 18 or 19 are urgently needed for our U19 Girls team.
This team played U21 Girls last year and finished in 2nd place.
This year due to the restructure of the age groups in female soccer comps at GDSFA our girls are playing U19Gs, and they have lost a few of the older girls to All Age Ladies teams.
Games are played on Sunday morning and training is each Wed at 7pm.
Fantastic bunch of girls and a coach very experienced in coaching female soccer.

Team nominations and player registrations

Team nominations with Granville District Soccer Association have closed and we have nominated 16 teams for 2015 season. Lets hope they are all accepted and all teams get the age groups and divisions they have requested.

We will continue to accept player registrations but only for teams and age groups that we have nominated teams for and only if there is room in those teams. Age groups still needing players are U8 mixed, U9 mixed, U19 Girls (girls aged 16, 17, 18 or 19), All Age Men (aged 16 and up), and Over 45 Men.

Next chance for players to do rego fix-ups at our clubhouse will be Wed 4th March from 630-8pm.

RIP Melaina Cook

Thanks to the GDSFA General Manager Michael Briggs for his kind words at tonights Association meeting and for asking all those present from the GDSFA clubs to be up-standing and observe 1 minutes silence out of respect for Melaina Cook.

U13s

We tried to get an U13s team together but with very few players from last years U12s returning plus only a few new players signed up, we find we do not have enough committed players to form an U13s team at Holroyd this season. Any players who have registered and paid will get a full refund - come in to our clubhouse either this Wed or next between 630-8pm. Any players who have registered but not paid need do nothing further as you are free to register elsewhere.

Vale - Melaina Cook - RIP

It is with great sadness to report the passing of Melaina Cook this morning after her battle with cancer. Melaina was the club registrar for Holroyd Rangers Soccer Club for 5 years from 2007 - 2011. Melaina was a player in our All Age Ladies team for a few years in the early 2000's. As club registrar Melaina oversaw and championed the transition from a paper-based registration system to what was to become our current on-line registration system. Both of Melaina's daughters Hayley and Rochelle have played soccer at our club, with Rochelle and and her son (Mel's grandson) Jayden still being current players. We express our deepest sympathies to Melaina's family and friends. Melaina was my friend and she will be sorely missed. Rest In Peace Melaina.
