Match results Round 6 Mens / Mixed and Round 7 Girls / Ladies

Fri 19th May – Round 7:
O30L div 2 - Loss 2-0 v Parramatta City
With the shot count well in our favour we expected to get something more out of this game. However football can be a funny game and Parra put their 2 chances away while our shots continued to go straight at the Parra keeper. A few niggling injuries not helping with player numbers at present. This new team is playing well and improving each week.

AAM div 5 - Won 5-0 v Pendle Hill
O35 div 2 - Won 4-3 v Guildford County
A fiery encounter against the undefeated comp leaders. 2 quick goals and Holroyd were looking good. GC then scored from the penalty spot, then a goal from open play, then another from the spot to take the lead. We were reduced to 10 men and then scored a 3rd to equalise. Then we had a free kick wide and just outside the penalty box. Joe stepped up and coolly placed it over the wall and past the keeper. We saw off a late rally from GC to hand them their 1st defeat.
O45 div 1 Black - Won 6-3 Wenty Waratah
After an early goal to the Green Machine Wenty hit back to lead 2-1 midway through the 1st half but we sprang into action and led 3-2 at the break. Again an early goal in the 2nd half had us up 4-2 but again Wenty responded getting it back to 4-3. With the game finely balanced we scored 2 quick goals midway 2nd half to seal the game. Well done to the official ref.
O45 div 1 White v Auburn FC - game washed out
(re-scheduled for Sun 28th May at 3pm at Webbs Ave #3)

Sun 21st May – Round 7:
U11 Girls - Loss 3-0 v Glenwood
AAL div 3 - Loss 8-0 v Premier Spurs
AAL div 4 - Won 4-2 v Rooty Hill RSL
A dominant 1st half saw us up 3-0 at the break and looking to go on with it. However injuries to 2 players saw the 2nd half more of a struggle particularly with Rooty Hill scoring an early goal in the 2nd half. Some acrobatics from Elise saw her flying over their keeper leaving the ball at Nat’s feet for her to pass it into the net for our 4th goal. Hopefully our injured players are back on deck soon.

AAL div 5 - Loss 3-0 v Eastern Creek
