Holroyd AAM div 5 team win Grand Final

Congratulations to our AAM5 team - Grand Final Champions! This team played strong all season and finished as Minor Premiers.  Won the major semi to go straight to Grand Finals.
A nail biting Grand Final match - nil all at full time. In extra time Holroyd scored in first few minutes, then Lidcombe scored in the second half of extra time. Penalties were pretty equal until Holroyd finally prevailed. 
Some incredible saves from the Holroyd goalie. Most Valuable Player was Samuel Bonsu from Holroyd Rangers which was well deserved as he put his body on the line numerous times and never stopped chasing the ball. Great speech by Daron paying tribute to their strong team bond.

All Age Ladies div 5 gracious in Grand Final loss

Sun 11th:

Holroyd Rangers All Age Ladies div 5 team were gracious in defeat today losing their Grand Final 2-0 v Kellyville. A couple of good early shots on goal did not fall for us then Kellyville scored on the counter attack. The score remained at 1-0 for much of the match. We had 2 more good chances - a curling free kick from Shannon almost snuck in the near post, and a flicked high shot from Kacey almost caught their keeper napping.  It was not to be our day though because with 5 minutes left to play we were pushing forward in an attempt to grab a late goal when Kellyville snuck through for a 2nd goal. All the girls should hold their heads high for a fantastic season and should be proud of getting to the Grand Final. Well done on a great season - we are proud of you all.

 

Holroyd O35/7s win Grand Final

Sat 10th Sept:

Holroyd Rangers Over 35/7s team won their Grand Final defeating the minor premiers Parramatta City 1-0 to be crowned Grand Champions.  Well done team - well played and well deserved.

Unfortunately our U15s team lost their Grand Final 4-0 v Wenty Uniting. Hold your heads high boys for a great season and well done on getting into the Grand Final.

Help needed

We are hosting Grand Finals at Guildford West Sportsground on Sat 10th Sept.
We urgently need volunteers to help us out on the day.
If you can help, even if its just for an hour or so, please let us know by email to holroydrangers@hotmail.com and advise us what times you can assist.
Set up will be from 7am and the day will finish around 5pm.
Crucial times that we need more volunteers for are from 10am - 1pm.

Over 35 div 7 v Parramatta City at Coleman Park #3, Georges Ave, Lidcombe at 1:00pm

Sun 11th Sept:
All Age Ladies div 5 v Kellyville at Commercial Rd #2, Commercial Rd, Rouse Hill at 12:10pm

3 teams into Grand Finals!

Holroyd Rangers have a total of 3 teams through to the Grand Finals. Our U15s and O35/7s teams both won their Finals games to progress through to their Grand Finals which will be played on Sat 10th Sept - game details to be confirmed. They join our All Age Ladies 5s team who had already booked their place in the Grand Final which will be played on Sun 11th Sept - game details to be confirmed.

U16 Girls Grand Champions!

Holroyd U16 Girls won their Grand Final 3-1 v Kellyville to be crowned Grand Champions! In very windy conditions a tense battle saw Kellyville score mid-first half against the run of play. 15 minutes into the 2nd half we equalized through a penalty kick. 2 more goals followed soon after to put us 3-1 up with 10 minutes to play. Coach Hopper said later he had faith all along the girls would get the job done. Well done to all the girls and the coach and manager. Great to see so many Holroyd supporters there to cheer our girls home. Congratulations girls.

U15's Grand Champions!

Holroyd Rangers U15's team win their Grand Final against North Rocks to be crowned Grand Champions! Not showing any nerves at all for the big occasion the boys came out firing right from the start. After 10 minutes they were up 2-0, and that was to remain the final score. Congratulations to all the players, coach, manager and all the parents and spectators. Well done.

Snr 3's Triumphant Grand Final Win

Our Senior 3's win their Grand Final 2-1 v St Josephs Rydalmere in a thrilling game. A great turnout from family, friends and club supporters were there to watch and cheer them on. The boys did us proud and provided an action packed fast moving game.
