Football NSW has received numerous calls about abusive coach behaviour and would like to remind all clubs and coaches of the following points:· Clubs have a responsibility to ensure all children involved in the sport are being treated with respect, equality and understanding.
· Coaches are not permitted to abuse or bully children under any circumstances.
· Complaints about coach behaviour towards children are to be treated as serious and appropriate action is to be taken.
· Club and coach focus should be on children enjoying the game, making friends and learning about football.
· The focus of rooball is not to win but to enjoy.
Football NSW will not tolerate this type of behaviour by any coach or other persons within the sport.
