Round 11 match results

Sat 14th / Sun 15th June

U/6 Black v Guildford Gold

A ball to the face before the game upset Amber but she struggled on bravely through the game. Maddison is tackling well and continues to improve every week. Patrick turns the ball away from danger very well and reads the play well. Jesse was impressed by the oppositions kicks in the air and is determined to learn to do the same himself. A good effort on a cold morning.

U/6 Green v PCYC White

Ahmed and Fayez continue to improve and are enjoying their soccer, but need to concentrate more. Jamal is very happy kicking towards the goal and his tackling and attacking has improved a lot. Waseem continues to play a very strong and determined game, keen to stop the opposition from scoring and to score goals himself.

O35 div 4 v Dundas Draw 3-3

The good luck charm almost worked against Dundas on the weekend. Certainly a great game of football for Holroyd with a draw as good as a win this season. [Courtesy of MrAliB] The good luck charm nearly did work but a good result for us. A win won’t be too far away with maybe a bit more luck from somewhere else. Good to see the Big Moon bulldozer getting on the scoresheet. [Courtesy of Slow Fox]

O35 div 5 v Winston Hills Black Loss 2-1

Senior 3’s v Merrylands SFC (result pending)

Senior 6’s v Winston Hills Won 2-1

U/12 Girls div 1 v North Rocks Won 4-2

U/14 Girls div 1 v Kellyville Loss 3-0

U/16 Girls div 2 v Castle Hill RSL White Loss 3-0

A lot of chances created in the 1st half with several good shots on goal, but we could not get anything into the back of the net. CH with a counter attack and they score. 2nd half we tired with no subs and the play was more even. Again we had several good attempts on goal after some nice lead up work. A penalty in the last minute gave us a 3-0 loss. This was far from a one-sided game as the score might suggest and we probably had more chances on goal than CH, but we failed to convert our opportunities. Be more positive when approaching the ball and don’t hesitate. Great work from all players, but Katelyn played superbly with almost all of her passes going to our players feet, earning her the player of the match award.

AAL div 5 v Guildford County Won 3-1

AAL div 2 v North Rocks Won 4-1
